John Green Waller, FSA. 1813-1905. 'One of the foremost antiquaries of the Victorian Age'. Studied at Royal Academy from 1831. Known as an artist and antiquarian who also designed memorial brasses and stained glass. Most important commission the 'Chaucer' window over the poet's grave in Westminster Abbey (now destroyed).
