Windows by W Wailes - Maker

William Wailes (1808-1881), had been a tea-dealer and grocer with an interest in landscape painting. In 1838 he established William Wailes's stained-glass in Newcastle-on-Tyne, which became one of the largest in the country making windows for AWN Pugin among others
