The Windsor Chapel was built in 1542 by William 2nd Lord Windsor, whose arms are the earliest in the window. The Chapel is now used as a Vestry.
Date Made:
Mid 16C onwards.
Notes on Window:
The window was restored in 1954 by Lt. Col W F Challinor, High Sheriff of Bucks in 1944.

UPPER LH LIGHT, c1542: - Scalloped shield of William 2nd Lord Windsor who built the Chapel in 1542, and died in 1558.

LOWER LH LIGHT, c1745: - Achievement of Martha Lovelace, Baroness Wentworth, d1745. Her mother had inherited Bradenham from Sir Edmund Pye.

LOWER LH LIGHT, c1745: - Detail of one of the two Griffins, supporters or attendants which hold the shield. A Griffin is a legendary creature, with the front half an eagle, and the back half a lion.
