St Paul holds a sword and a book.
| ||||||
St Paul holds the sword by the pommel, and he holds a book in his right hand. 'The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17. The sword can also refer to the tradition that Paul was executed with a sword in Rome.
