Charles James Blomfield

Charles James Blomfield (4 February 1862 - 1932), the son of Arthur William Blomfield. He was educated at Charterhouse and the Royal Academy Schools, and was articled to his father. He commenced independent practice in 1886 and was taken into partnership by his father in 1890 as Arthur Blomfield & Sons, later joined by another brother, Arthur Conran Blomfield. Charles James Blomfield was appointed architect to Salisbury and Chester Cathedrals, to St Cross Hospital, Winchester, to St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol, and to the Dean and Chapter of Southwark Cathedral. He was also surveyor to the Eyre Estate, St John's Wood. He died in 1932.
